Gentle, compassionate euthanasia in the comfort of your home.
Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is one of the hardest decisions a pet parent can make.
At Your Home Vet, we are here to support you through this difficult time with empathy, understanding, and respect.
Why Choose Home Euthanasia?
We treat every pet as our own, and every family like our own family.
1
Comfort & Familiarity – We’ll be wherever your pet feels most comfortable. They can rest peacefully in their favourite spot, surrounded by the people who love them most.
2
Peace & Privacy – A calm, private space for your family to say goodbye without stress or time pressure.
3
Gentle Support – We move at your pace, offering guidance and compassion every step of the way.
What to Expect: Step by Step
1
Initial Discussion
We’ll begin by talking through your pet’s condition, answering your questions, and making sure you feel confident and supported in your decision.
Prior to our arrival, we will complete the consent form and payment arrangements – so when we arrive, our full attention can be on you and your beloved pet.
2
A Calm Arrival
When we arrive, we’ll take things slowly, greeting your pet gently and allowing them time to feel safe and comfortable in their own space.
3
Sedation & Comfort
Your pet will first receive a gentle sedative, helping them drift into a deep, peaceful sleep, free from any anxiety or discomfort. Once they are fully relaxed, we will place a small
cannula in their leg to ensure everything is as gentle and stress-free as possible.
4
Saying Goodbye
When you’re ready, we’ll administer the final medication. You’re welcome to hold your pet, speak softly to them, and take all the time you need to say goodbye.
5
Aftercare & Memorial Options
We’ll guide you through aftercare with sensitivity and respect, whether you choose
cremation, burial, or other memorial options.
